ARTS - NEEDLECRAFTS - CERAMICS - QUILTS - WOODWORKING - ORIGINAL CRAFT
This popular event will again be held at Twin Towers. All entries must be taken to Twin Towers on Wednesday
morning between the hours of 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM. The judging will be Thursday afternoon. Items will be on
display for viewing between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM Thursday and Friday and all items are to be picked
up by 2:30 PM Friday. The awards for first place in crafts will be presented Friday evening at the Italian Dinner. The
"Best of Show" in each category will be on display at the Italian Dinner. All entries should be the work of the participant. Exceptions are antique Quilts. Items that won medals in 2008 are not eligible this year.

KNITTING: Afghans,Pillows,Sweaters,Christmas Tree Skirts
CROCHET: Afghans,Pillows,Sweater,Tablecloths
COUNTED CROSS STITCH: Samplers,Pillows,Tablecloths,Bedspreads
EMBROIDERY:Tablecloths,Huck Toweling,Samplers,Bedspreads
NEEDLEPOINT:Crewel,Chair & Stool Covers
APPLIQUE:Place Mats,Christmas Stockings & Items
SWEATSHIRTS:Paint and Applique
PLASTIC CANVAS:Original and Kits

The following applies to Woodworking:
Due to small showing area, wood crafted items must be kept to a minium, preferably no larger than one to two
feet in size. All wood items must be sanded to a smooth finish. Items can have routed or sharp, sanded edges. Items
can have stained finish, painted finish or both, or a natural wood finish using varnish or clear polyurethane. Medals
will be awarded in each category.
CATEGORY I: TOYS
Suggestions: Planes,boats,cars,trucks,trains,animals.
CATEGORY II: OPEN
Suggestions: Wood inlay,unusual ideas,wood burning, wooden games.
CATEGORY III: WOODEN HOUSEHOLD ITEMS
Suggestions: Bookends,small shelves,bread boxes,napkin holders,paper towel holders.
CATEGORY IV: WOODCARVING & TURNING
Suggestions: People,chiseled landscapes,animals.
CATEGORY V: WOOD SCROLLING
CATEGORY VI: ORIGINAL ITEMS
Suggestions: Items made from materials not used in all the other events in this show.
